This position works within a skilled team to provide accounting services for our valuable farm management clients by handling data entry, auditing of transactions, and generating reports so our farm managers and their clients know how their valuable investment is performing. Specific Job Duties:

• Match, batch, code and enter expenses and income, ensuring the correct authorizations have occurred
• Enter, post and reconcile batches of transactions
• Maintain cash balances, reconcile bank statements and reports
• Setup and work with electronic banking: remote deposits, and ACH activity
• Generate and distribute accounting reports, ensuring the information provided is accurate and timely
• Act as a liaison for internal and external communication with assigned clients, vendors, tenants, farm managers, administrative professionals, and various other parties to ensure a positive relationship and excellent client service
• Identify, analyze, and formulate solutions to accounting issues and continually help look for ways to improve processes and systems
• Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. At the request of the farm accounting manager and company

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or above in an accounting related discipline is preferred or 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics software a significant plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel
• A team focused attitude to work collaboratively with the direct accounting team and other stakeholders in the organization
• Analytical ability to identify, troubleshoot, and correct errors or issues
• Agricultural background and an understanding of its terminology helpful
